Hotel New Otani Tokyo

You only live twice (1967)

Hotel New Otani Tokyo had its first day of operation in September 1964 - just prior to the Tokyo Olympics. The Hotel New Otani Tokyo was the venue of choice for the Tokyo Economic Summit on three occasions. It seems that 2 new towers have been built in recent years and it is these that are featured in photographs on many sites. The old hotel is the building featured in the film - and can be seen in the photo below. The crew stayed at the hotel during the filming of "You only live twice".
